Custom Icon Commissions
I have felt very blessed this holiday & birthday season. @primarygreen and I celebrated our 15th Anniversary in Cabo, MX. He surprised me with the amazing icon in this picture. I’ve never been able to find one of my saint, so he commissioned one from @croninstudio. I LOVE it!

A beautiful handmade icon commemorating a special event such as a baptism, wedding, graduation, or anniversary.
An unforgettable gift for a godchild or a loved one.
A custom icon of an unusual saint or one most dear to you.
A special icon for each family member, coordinated to look good together as a group, or a “family icon” with all family members’ patron saints standing together.
These are just a few reasons why people commission icons.
All icons are prepared with the best materials and practices for quality, stability and durability.
The icons arrived, and I’m very pleased. Thank you!

The commission process begins with the initial discussion of the saint(s) and what you are hoping for in the icon. I will prayerfully read the Life of the saint, gather source materials, and then present you with a drawing on paper and proposed color scheme.
The price depends on complexity (number of figures), amount of gilding, type of board (flat or raised border), and size.
During the initial discussion and sketching phase, you are welcome to send me any favorite photographs of your saint or topic, and we will discuss color, pose and style. Some colors are traditional; others are flexible and a matter of discretion.
By examining the icons in my gallery and shop, you will see the styles in which I can work; please let me know if one or other especially speaks to you, and I can make yours look similar. I will do my best to ensure that you are satisfied with the final product. Process photos during the gilding and painting phases can be provided if you wish.
When you approve the drawing, a signed commission contract and a 30% down payment is required to begin work on the board. The balance is due upon completion.
Please allow one month minimum after approval of the initial drawing for the icon to be completed, given time to cure, varnished and mailed.
